Spook-tackular October at MainStreet Family Urgent Care in Eufaula

MainStreet Family Urgent Care had a very fun and busy October!

We not only got to donate supplies to Southern Souls Animal League in the first week of October-which was such a rewarding experience- we got to attend the Community Funday, which was with the Eufaula Police Department on Oct. 7th! The Communtiy Funday was truly a spectacular time for the community, as people got to learn self-defence, eat barbeque, and play in the bouncehouses that the police force provided.  Dr. Wags even got to pose for a selfie with one of our local policeman!

If the first week of October was fun, the second week of October was SUPER fun! Dr. Wags attended Crowne Healthcare’s Fall Festival (and participated in the cake walk) and got to meet all of the amazing people at the Indian Summer Festival that the city puts on every year. The Indian Summer event was the biggest it ever was this year, with people enjoying reptile and bird exhibits, a magician, lots of bounce houses, a rock wall, and plenty of vendors. Dr. Wags was thrilled to be asked to walk in the “Pet Parade”, which was his favorite part of the whole event!

On October 25th, Dr. Wags was asked to participate in Epworth United Methodist Church’s Trunk or Treat event in which we gave out candy to all the kids who played “Dr. Wags Says”. Dr. Wags loved dancing and jumping around with the kids, and it turned out to be a very rewarding event.

Yesterday, Dr. Wags got to visit the historic Carnegie Library in the downtown Eufaula area to read to the children there as a special treat. The book he chose to read is entitled “Going to the Doctor.” The kids loved how Dr. Wags acted out all of the pages in the book, and Dr. Wags loved meeting all of the children who came to meet him!

We had a great time in the community this October, and we can’t wait to see what fun events we can participate in for the month of November!
