We are excited to announce contactless registration at MainStreet Family Care and KidsStreet Urgent Care. While you may still have a significant wait, this system allows you to wait from your home or from your vehicle. Please read carefully to familiarize yourself with our process and the safety measures we have put in place. We’ve also added frequently asked questions about QR codes and contactless registration.

What is contactless registration?

MainStreet’s contactless registration system allows you to register from home. Then you can wait at home or in your car until it’s time for you to head to the clinic or come in. Contactless registration is not an appointment. It is designed to reduce your wait time at the clinic.

Contactless registration for COVID, cold, flu, and sinus patients:

We do have a daily limit to what we can see. The demand for these types of visits is very high. If you need help with COVID, cold, flu, or sinus issue, we recommend you register online as soon as you can. Our online registration opens every day 30 minutes before the clinic opens. If we have reached our limit at that time, you will see a message. We’ve made this message available at the top of the screen, letting you know we are unable to take new registrations at that time.

Once registered, our system will text you when it is time to come to the clinic.  This allows you to register and wait inside your vehicle or at home until it is closer to your time to be seen. This does not eliminate or reduce wait times. It simply makes your wait more comfortable and allows us to have fewer people in the clinic waiting room.

Contactless registration for patients needing to be seen for something other than COVID, cold, flu, or sinus.

This includes stitches, x-rays, IVs, Primary Care, rashes, sprains, injuries, ear, and eye issues, etc.

  • You can register online anytime and head to the clinic to be seen.
  • You can also scan any of the QR codes in our clinic parking lots and waiting rooms once you get to the clinic.
  • All non- COVID, cold, flu, or sinus patients are prioritized.
  • You can also walk-in anytime for these things, pre-online registration is not required. Please keep in mind you will not be able to receive a COVID test at these visits.

What if I am a primary care patient or need urgent care for stitches, x-rays, etc.?

Primary care and urgent care patients will be prioritized. You can register online and head directly to the clinic or you can check-in from the clinic when you get there using the QR codes outside of the building or in the lobby.

I need a COVID test, what do I do?

Register online on the day of your visit.

Online registration opens 30 minutes before the clinic opens each day. We recommend you register as early as you can, preferably 30 minutes before opening.

  1. When you are ready to register, go to our website and click on “Register Online” and then select the clinic you want to visit.
  2. If that clinic location is full, you will be taken to a page that will show you other clinics that have openings and allow you to register there.

Wait at home or in your vehicle.

  1. After registering, wait at home or in your vehicle until we text you to come to the waiting room. It is important you keep your phone on and are checking for this communication.
  2. You will receive a confirmed registration with a link to check your approximate wait time. This is only an estimate as there is no perfect way to calculate the wait time.

Look for communication from us.

  1. When it is getting close to your turn, you will receive a text telling you we are almost ready. Ensure you are traveling to the clinic when you receive this text if you are not already there.
  2. Once it is your turn to come inside, you will get a text telling you to come into the clinic. Once you receive your “come inside” text, please see the front desk and let them know you have arrived.
  3. Note that once you get into the clinic, there will still be a wait.  We are limiting the number of people in the waiting room to a small number, but please be prepared for an additional wait in the waiting room.
  4. You must be wearing a face mask to enter the clinic even if you have had COVID before or have been vaccinated. You must keep your face mask on at all times in the clinic unless instructed otherwise.

I’m at the clinic and want to register using a QR code. How do the QR codes work and what do I do?

Use your smartphone camera.

  1. On your smartphone, select the camera application.
  2. Focus the camera over the displayed QR code. Click on the pop-up notification that should automatically appear on your phone screen, which will take you to our online web registration form.
  3. Follow the prompts to complete the registration.

Look for communication from us.

  1. After registering, please wait in your vehicle until we text you to come in. It is important to keep your phone on and check for this communication.
  2. When it is getting close to your turn, you will receive a text telling you we are almost ready. If you have left the clinic area while waiting, be sure to arrive at the clinic immediately once getting the text, if you are not already there.
  3. Once it is your turn to come inside, you will get a text telling you to come into the clinic. Once you receive your “come inside” text, please see the front desk and let them know you have arrived.

Please bring your mask and expect a wait.

  1. Note that once you get into the clinic there will still be a wait.  We are limiting the number of people in the waiting room to a small number, but please be prepared for an additional wait in the waiting room.
  2. You must be wearing a face mask to enter the clinic. This applies even if you have had COVID before or have been vaccinated. You must keep your face mask on at all times in the clinic unless instructed otherwise.
  3. If you are having trouble with the QR codes, go to our website and register online there.

Does contactless registration secure my place in line?

Yes. We use the order in which patients register online to determine the order they will be treated. Therefore, it is very important that you register online to secure your place. By registering online, there is no need to wait in a physical line outside the clinic. You can wait at home or in your vehicle until we text you to come in. When you receive your text, it’s time to come into the clinic.

Can I still register the old way (fill out a paper form in the waiting room)?

This option is still available for those without smartphones. However, filling out the form online makes the registration process much easier, saves you place in line, and lets you do other things while you wait. Please see the front desk if you are unable to use web registration and we will help you register.

The registration website displays a message saying registration is full/closed for the day. What does that mean?

We can only handle a certain number of COVID-19 testing patients per day due to hours and staff limitations. You may begin to register online and see a message stating that we cannot process any more registrations. This means that the clinic has reached its daily limit for COVID-19 testing.  The message will also contain a link that takes you to a page where you can see other clinic locations that DO have openings. On this page, you can register directly for those available locations.  If you are at the clinic for a non-COVID-related visit, please proceed with contactless registration for your desired location.

What if I can’t scan the QR registration code or online contactless registration is not working?

You can go to our website and use the “Register Online” button. Another option is to go into the clinic and see the front desk. We will provide another way for you to register.

What if I don’t get a confirmation text message after submitting my form?

Every registration that is successful will receive a confirmation text message. If you do not receive this message, please check your email inbox for a confirmation email. Next, ask our front desk if we have the appropriate phone number as part of your registration.  If you did not get a confirmation text or email, then your registration was not successful.

How do I know where I am in line?

When you register online, you will receive a link where you can check your estimated wait time. Please know that this is only an estimate. This is a pre-registration process, not an appointment. Once you get an individual text for you to come inside, you can check-in at the clinic.

How long do I have to get back to the clinic once you text me?

Once we get in touch with you that it is your turn, you will have 15 minutes to present to the front desk.  If you do not check-in within 15 minutes from when we send the text for you to come in, your place in line will be lost.

Why can’t I register online if I am uninsured and want to use the government COVID program for my COVID test?

This is for our uninsured patients seeking to have their COVID test paid for by the government COVID testing program for the uninsured. We first need to determine your eligibility in a portal the government has set up. Currently, we are only able to do this by having you come into the waiting room and speaking with the front desk staff.
