An Amazing April at MainStreet Family Urgent Care in Eufaula

At MainStreet Family Urgent Care in Eufaula, we enjoyed the beautiful weather and activities that the start of Spring brings this month. And boy, we have been extremely busy with events in the community in April! Here’s a quick recap of all the fun we got into this month, in case you missed anything!

Firstly, we started April off right with hosting the MainStreet Kids’ Art Tent during the Pilgrimage on that Saturday the 7th as a part of the Pilgrimage Art Show that takes place every year downtown. Dr. Wags loved hugging the kiddos, and although it was a rainy spring day, we still had a great turnout! Children who attended our tent loved painting rocks this year and making pop-up art of birds. It was very fun watching the children get creative with their art, and we were pleased to be able to provide all of the materials for them!

Secondly, we were pleased to be invited to participate in the City of Eufaula’s Health Fair that took place on the 11th. We loved setting up a booth and telling the city employees about the services that MainStreet Family Urgent Care can provide for them, besides the occupational medicine services they already utilize us for.

Thirdly, on the weekend of April 14th, we set up two water booths for the runners of the Kiwanis 5k and 10k. We even provided the runners with granola bars and cookies so that they could regain their energy after such a hot, long run! Dr. Wags was thrilled to cheer on all of the runners who came out on that perfect April Saturday!

Lastly, Dr. Wags loved meeting children and their families at Relay for Life this year! Dr. Wags and I really got into the theme (which was “Superheroes”), and we thought we did really well for our first year participating in the Relay for Life festivities. We made a sign with the Hulk on it that said “SMASH CANCER”, hung up streamers and lanterns that said “Boom”, “Pow”, and “Pop” on them, had plenty of superhero masks for kids to wear, and even got silly string for the kids there to play with that said “Web-Shooters” on them to mimic Spiderman’s webs that he shoots out of his wrists. Overall, I think the kids really loved it, and we really loved being there to support the Relay for Life and honor the survivors of cancer.

We look forward to a jam-packed May and can’t wait to participate in all that the next month has to offer MainStreet Family Urgent Care in Eufaula!
