It’s the most wonderful time of the year at MainStreet Family Urgent Care in Eufaula! We had a fantastic December, and of course, Dr. Wags had a great time getting out and about in the community this month. Here is a short recap of all of the wonderful things MainStreet Family Urgent Care in Eufaula got up to this month!
Christmas Stockings at MainStreet
We had a blast kicking of December right by participating in the Eufaula Annual Christmas Parade on December 5th! Dr. Wags, (MA) Tabitha Belcher, and (Community Educator) Katie Walden rode in the parade and threw out candy and MainStreet swag to all of the lovely parade-goers! It truly was a fun night full of good cheer.

Later that week, Dr. Wags visited the Jaxon Life Senior Center’s Winter Resident’s Welcome Event on the 7th to let the temporary senior residents of Eufaula know about all MainStreet has to offer at our clinic and to give out fun raffle prizes to the people who attended the event. It was lovely to meet all of our visiting residents and Dr. Wags even made some new friends in the process!

The following week, Dr. Wags visited our favorite residents at Crowne Healthcare of Eufaula for their Eggnog and Fruitcake Social they had on the 13th. We took lots of pictures with Dr. Wags and his friends there and passed out Christmas goodie bags to everyone who went to the social. Seeing how festive everyone was there was so heartwarming to behold. The residents truly had the Christmas spirit!

A few days later on the 15th, Dr. Wags surprised the children of Philly’s Daycare when he showed up bearing Christmas gifts and a fun Christmas story book to read them! The children loved watching Dr. Wags act out the story while the Community Educator, Katie Walden, read it aloud to them. After that, the kids sang Christmas carols while Katie played the guitar for them, and they loved dancing about to the music. Dr. Wags even danced, too!

The following week, the staff put the finishing touches on their clinic Christmas decorations by decorating a MainStreet themed white Christmas tree adorned with blue and red bulbs and tinsel. It put the clinic staff in a festive mood and brought a bit of joy to the sick patients who saw it in the waiting area.
